Dariraine refers to the romantic relationship between Darius Deamonne and Raine Whispers. This is a fanpage dedicated to the both of them and their relationship

Darius Deamonne

Darius Deamonne is the head of the Abomination Coven. He is voiced by Keaston John. He co-leads the Bards against the Throne (later renamed to Covens against the Throne much to Darius's chagrin.)

Darius is a man who takes pride in his appearance and his position as Abomination Coven head. At first glance, he comes off as cold and rude even to people he cares about. As the show progresses, there is more than meets the eye. This is first shown in "Any Sport in a Storm," where Darius admits that he was wrong about Hunter and even gives him a phone to be able to talk to his friends. He also keeps Hunter's palisman a secret from Belos.

Speaking of Hunter, his predecessor was the precious Golden Guard who mentored Darius. The two were implied to be close until he died mysteriously. He initially ignores and is dismissive of Hunter. However, once Hunter shows that he's not what Darius assumed he was, he is impressed. We don't see this as much because of how limited time we had for the show, but he is shown to have grown protective of Hunter. In "Hollow Mind", he impulsively pushes Raine aside at the mere mention of an "angry blond kid". By the series finale, we see that Darius has taken Hunter in as his own, and that Hunter finally has someone to go back to.

I wish we'd gotten more episodes that dive into Hunter and Darius's relationship, how the cycle of grief plays into their dynamic, and what that means for their healing process as they grow closer. There's so much about Darius that's there in subtext that we never truly get to explore due to constraints. So it's up to the fans to fill in the blanks.

I love Darius so much it makes my heart hurt.

Raine Whispers

Raine Whispers is the head of the Bard Coven. They are also the leader of the Bards against the Throne (later renamed to Covens against the Throne much to Darius's chagrin.) They are a talented witch who climbed through the ranks to get to where they are. They tend to get stage fright, but this does not deter them from being an excellent leader.

Raine grew suspicious of Belos and his plans for the Day of Unity and formed the Bards against the Throne.

Canon

In canon, the two are allies.

Darius and Raine were classmates at Hexside and are implied to be in the same friend group growing up.

Darius wasn't buying into Belos's promises for the Day of Unity, and when he found out Raine felt the same, set out to team up with them. He set up a ruse to capture the BATTs. This nearly fails because Raine and Eda attempt to kill him and Eberwolf using Eda's curse. It is later revealed to Raine that Darius was protecting them and wanted to partner with them to figure out what Belos was truly planning for the Day of Unity. Darius teases Raine about how they would've been captured had Darius not intervened, and the two begin to bicker as they're implied to have done so back at Hexside. In the time between "Eda's Requiem" and "O Titan, Where Art Thou", the two have been conspiring together with the BATTs (later renamed the CATTs)

My Thoughts

I got hooked on Dariraine though a mutual of mine. I started seeing the potential of the ship in "Oh Titan, where Art Thou" once it turned out Darius was actually protecting Raine from being caught by the other coven heads or Belos. I've drawn quite a bit of fanart, mostly either timeskip related or about their time at Hexside.

The two of them argue like a married couple and they look good together. How could I not ship them?

On a more serious note I like the idea of them being old friends who grew apart after high school but circumstances force them back together to repair their relationship. And I'm probably pulling this out of my ass here because we do not see them interact much outside of "Eda's Requiem" and "O Titan, Where Art Thou?"
